About the qualification
Pearson’s BTEC Level 3 National in Health and Social Care is a new qualification designed for students aged 16 to 19, for first teaching in September 2025. This qualification aims to equip students with the essential knowledge, understanding, and skills necessary for progression to undergraduate study in health and social care fields. The qualification is 360 GLH, which is equivalent to one A Level. These can be taken alongside A Levels or other AAQ qualifications, to create a balanced programme of study.
